When I hear Nextcloud, It is a fork of OwnCloud and they becomes separate identity when OwnCloud goes for the subscription. In later, the software support of NextCloud becomes popular, then it emerges to new Level of data storage, the enterprise and the government Sector.
Tools inside the NextCloud
Storage
NextCloud is a home for your files. They can stay inside your system and sync your files vice-versa from the server. That sounds really great for me because I can't download the large file in our homes. Then, the NextCloud will download the files and put inside my server to make sure they are downloaded properly. When you need it, you can download it back.
S3 + CDN
The main topic on the new thing is the usage of CDN. When the CDN is used, we have to manage the files to provide the accuracy to the user. However, management of the CDN without proper management is the nightmare. With the nextcloud, the system can provide the permission, authorization and collaboration then the system can manage the update and provide the information to the user timely.
markdown site
If you are a tech enthusiast and tries to create a blog in markdown, NextCloud is your source of help. You can store your files in one type and the other type is you can publish your website with markdown. This may be great or not, but it is useful.
