We are homo sapiens. We survived through a lot of decades to reach the current era. This includes a lot of motivations and changes. In one of the chinese folk tales says: When the breeze of change comes, some build mills, other build walls. We faced industrial revolutions, wall street crashes and crypto crashes. Now with the AI, what should we do?
A brief history to an AI
AI is an abbreviation of Artificial Intelligence. It does not comes as a big bang. It slowly evolves. First, we got speech recognition, Text to speech. After some decades, neural networks and Natural language processing. Today, we can call them Artificial Intelligence.
What should we do?
This may be a short text but we got something. I watched a TED Talk that Estonian Minister of Education says technology is not a big thing. It will evolve and evolve. The main thing is for the ministry to adapt the learning process based on artificial intelligence, in short form, AI.
She stated that literacy is boomed when the human start invented printing. In earlier times before printing, literacy is a luxury thing that can be reachable by the higher class of humanity. Nowadays, printing revolutionizes the way it works. We can now easily read, write and type our blogs to make everything more understandable and reachable.
The higher cognitive works
When the AI can do basic works, what should we do? The answer is we need to adapt our learning skills. We learn using lower cognitive skills and higher cognitive skills. We learn riding bicycles, driving the car. They are lower cognitive skills. We memorize the texts and answer the tests are also lower cognitive skills.
We now need to create more, think more and produce more efforts to create higher cognitive skills. They need to be learn and relearned things which will improve the higher cognitive skills.
Conclusion
The Artificial Intelligence is the revolutionary technology after revolutionary pressure when printing and industrial revolution. We need to embrace the AI era and we must change the way that we can improve our jobs that we can utilize the AI to increase the workload.
